Membership Info. and Application
HOW TO JOIN - Three ways to become a join and three levels of member.

On-line application and pay dues.


In person: attend one of our monthly meetings. See our Calendar of Events for location and time.

Print out the Membership Application and mail application and check to:

Please note: For most society events your membership must be be active for a minimum of one month (30 days).

MEMBERSHIP
Memberships are valid for 12 months from the month joined or renewed.
Active Membership is open to all persons who have an interest in promoting the purposes of the Society. One membership covers all family members over 16 years of age living at the same address.

Single Membership - $25 for 12 months. This level gives individuals full membership rights. This level targets persons who will engage in the monthly activities of the society and who wish to vote or hold office.
Family Membership - $30 for 12 months. This level provides membership for a family group at a discount over separate memberships for each individual. Family members have the same rights and privileges as Single members.
Newsletter Subscription - $20 for 12 months. This level targets persons who live outside of the DFW Metroplex. This level is also for persons who have an interest in the society but do not wish to participate in Society activities. This membership level excludes persons from many Society activities including field trips.

PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY

The Dallas Paleontological Society founded 1984. The purpose shall be to promote serious interest in and knowledge of the science of paleontology. The intention of the founding members is the Society will be a network for the exchange of data between professionals and serious amateurs in this field. The Society is organized exclusively for educational and scientific purposes. This is a non-profit organization.

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Active member is for persons with Single or Family membership status. Benifits include fossil collecting Field Trips, a monthly newsletter, workshops, and one free copy of any Occasional Papers published after joining. Privileges also include participation on paleontological digs or fossil preparation after the digs.
