The second Wednesday of every month is the Dallas Paleontological Society regular monthly meeting. The program will be as follows:

Hominins of South Africa

The DPS will meet next at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 8th, at Brookhaven College Geotechnical Institute (Building H of Brookhaven College, at 3939 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch).  The main program will be presented by Dr. Becca Peixotto of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, speaking on “Fossils of Our Relatives: Recent Discoveries in South Africa”.

DPS meetings are free and open to the public.  Members are invited to bring packaged salads, sides, snacks, and desserts to share.  Many people bring fossils to show or for help with identification.

Who we are

The DPS is a group of professional and amateur paleontologists that want to exchange information, interact, and continue their education in paleontology.  We meet once a month on the second Wednesday evening of the month at Brookhaven College, Building H.
