To All Texas/Pennsylvanian Study Group members,
We will have a meeting on the 14th of March. We will be looking at more brachiopods with Ben Neuman showing us how to tell them apart. At the last meeting we also had help from Mike DeBrock from Houston who made us a binary key to determine brachiopod families.
Bring along your Rugosochonetidae - chonetinella, Neochonetes, Sulcataria, the new genus Scarabea, Pliochonetes, Rugosochonetes, Lissochonetes, Quadrochonetes, Mesolobus, capillomesolobus, Eolissochonetes., all those little flat ones that are hard to tell apart.
We will also discuss plans for another trip to Keith Johnson’s ranch in Erath County and the trip to Kansas that Dennis Gleason is putting together.
We still meet at 9:00 AM in the GeoScience Bldg. at U.T. Arlington. Please use the door in the atrium on the east side of the building. Free Saturday parking is available in the lot on the southeast corner of Cooper and UTA Blvd.
